Musical gems with personality and passion.

Kerry’s act is inspired by singers from the 1940’s and 50’s such as Connie Francis and Doris Day as well as the jazz sounds of the great Ella Fitzgerald to more contemporary jazz/pop artists like Madeleine Peyroux & Caro Emerald. As Kerry often quotes, "vintage is in vogue."

"Kerry’s blend of classic nostalgia and contemporary music from artists like Caro Emerald, upbeat and mellow, all delivered with Kerry’s engaging personality ensures memorable entertainment and a very special ambiance." (Debbie Green, Manager (previous) The Deck Café, Emsworth)

Kerry, who holds a diploma in music theatre performance, has graced stages across England and internationally. Her performances span a variety of venues, from the Tivoli Theatre in Wimborne, to outdoor festivals like the widely celebrated Floral Fringe Fair, where she's been a favourite for the past eight years. Kerry has also been honoured to perform at special events, including the ‘Survivor’s Dinner’ for the Sagratino Cup in Umbria, Italy, and even as far afield as Myanmar.

Kerry cites the key turning point in her musical career as the moment when she had a chance meeting with a Glaswegian crooner, Jamie Rourke, whilst on holiday in Tenerife in 2009. Up to that point, Kerry had performed in local musical theatre productions but had not considered a professional singing career. Inspired by what Jamie had achieved, Kerry returned home and set about creating her own musical offering as a solo artist.

Kerry's first gig in a restaurant, was, she admits, a disaster. "I didn't know anything about using a PA system and a microphone so I had issues with feedback that I didn't know how to fix on the hoof", Undeterred, Kerry continued and, in 2010, her first successful gig, a French evening at the Deck Cafe in Emsworth, was quickly followed by a multi year booking with the Rural Crafts Association of Great Britain, including an appearance at the prestigious Burghley Horse Trials.

In 2022, Kerry decided to go back to her roots and set herself the  challenge of creating, producing, directing and starring in her own one-woman musical theatre show, Femmes Fatales, which explored and celebrated the diversity of leading ladies in musical theatre.

Revelling in being back on the stage again, in 2024, Kerry created a new offering Rainy Days, Mondays & Good Old Dreams, a show which sensitively explores the music and lives of the Carpenters.

Kerry says, “it was a massive undertaking to attempt to reproduce the vocals of perhaps the greatest female vocalist of all time.” She continues, “Karen has such an intimate vocal style not at all akin to musical theatre, so I have had to develop a more “contained” speech-style of singing. I nicknamed it “singing in a box”, and that does not come naturally to me!” Kerry finishes, “what a blessed opportunity I have been given to be able to bring this timeless music to life once more. I just hope my band and I can do it the justice it deserves and that our audiences will enjoy the show as much as we will enjoy performing it.”

“Kerry Le Bern was fantastic. Delivered the entire Carpenters story. Poignant, honest. Loved it.”
